As I write this, I am looking out on a verdant landscape dotted with flowers. Spring, as they say, has sprung.
Yet, on the other side of the world in Japan, a nation is struggling to come to terms with the darker side of Mother Nature.
Sheengate’s Editorial Director, Con Crowley, happened to travel to Japan four days before the earthquake struck.
In his virtual postcard, sent from the ski slopes of Hokkaido (the northernmost part of the four main islands), he marvels at the level-headedness and determination of the Japanese people.
We are lucky in the county of Surrey to be largely benefactors of Mother Nature’s bounty.
We are surrounded by open spaces and greenery, and live just a stone’s throw from some of London’s most beautiful Royal parks.
