WELL, I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU but I have spent the last few weeks in a very confused state of affairs – not because I have lost my editor’s marbles I might add – but because of the good old English weather.
One minute we’re basking in red-hot sunshine, the next it’s woolly jumpers all round.
However, I’m sure you’ll be glad to learn that I’ve managed to keep my wits about me to deliver this month’s magazine.
If you entered our Poems in the Park competition back in April, you will find out at last (p11) who has made it on to the final shortlist.
I joined Dame Jacqueline Wilson, Sir Trevor McDonald, Paddy Hughes and fellow editor Richard Nye on the judging panel and I can assure it was no easy task.
It took a whole day at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park and a very fine lunch to decide!
